This opening is for a full-time position as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Kochi Prefecture starting on September 1, 2020, with the initial contract finishing in March 2021.

There are two placements available: one entails Takaoka High School and Kaiyo (Kochi Marine) High School in Kochi City; the other in and around Shimanto Town in southwestern Kochi Prefecture, entailing Kubokawa High School, Shimanto High School, and Nakamura High School – Nishitosa Branch. In both positions, the ALT will assist as a team teacher and help plan English lessons under a schedule created by the Board of Education. As well as teaching English lessons, you may also be asked to participate in other school activities such as clubs, cleaning of the school and cultural festivals.

Both positions are accessible to the Shimanto River, a renowned natural wonder in Japan known for its clear water.
